Trying out my new pens, while working on the character designs for my next graphic novel, titled "Leave Forever." No scanner at the moment, so photo...
Some of you already know Dacia from Unrelatable Comix, where she plays Abby's often violent roommate (a perfect match really.) Although some of my comics (El Corrido del Flaco Calavera, for example) are known for their edgy sense of humor, I intend to keep UC relatively family friendly, or the closest thing I can manage. On the other hand, Leave Forever will be a drama spin-off centered around Dacia's past, her family and her hateful beliefs. I've been working on this one for a while (you can even find early drafts of the story on previous drawings here on DA), I've done my research for roughly 2 years, and I feel pretty confident in my ability to tell this story, which will be the most challenging one I've done yet (the characters in DEMOPLAY have no family for a reason.) I hope you guys will enjoy reading it.
By the way, DINK was fantastic! 10/10 would go again. I faced a bunch of random set-backs (I can blame myself for some of them) like my new printer breaking after just 12 comics, or Greyhound delaying my trip a whole day (getting dumped in Vegas isn't bad at all, though.) Still, this past three weeks have been incredible, and I got the chance to meet and talk with all sorts of people on my trip (one of them very much like Dacia, surprisingly.) My host in Denver was amazing, and the city is the most beautiful one I've been to, and I've traveled a lot! Comics have given me the chance to do all the things I love, and this experience has been the greatest first comic con I could have asked for! I got to talk with interesting people, co-host a panel, and even sell out and trade every comic I took with me. You guys should definitely add DINK to your list of comic conventions next year, I have nothing bad to say about it

Showed this drawing to my dad, his only concern: Why's her hair blue?
